Taking a momentary break from editing (LOTS of stuff coming to the blog soon!), I discovered that my friend Robyn had posted the link to this video over on Twitter. I was just saying earlier this week how it is such a profound and amazing thing when I think about how decades from now someone, somewhere, will look at an album that I’ve created of their parents, grandparents or maybe even great-grandparents and think loving thoughts about those people, and those memories that I’ve captured all those years before.
It is the biggest responsibility – and the biggest honor – in the world. I love being a photographer. Knowing that what I do will be someone’s family legacy in the years to come is such a blessing. An incredible, amazing blessing.
Thank you so much to all of my clients, their families, and their friends – along with my family and my friends – for allowing me to be a part of it.

I agree completely! Being a photographer has got to be one of the most amazing jobs. I love being that person!
Kodak just totally gets it. Love that ad. Thanks for posting it! When the movie “Up” comes out on DVD, I’m going to post something about one of the scenes that involves photographs…
