Ms. E’s Maternity Session – Boudoir Inspired Photography, Houston TX

In the time that I’ve been offering boudoir sessions, I’ve had a lot of sessions that are somehow related to babies — several of my clients have talked about how they are trying to get pregnant. One of my clients was just a few days pregnant when we did her session – she didn’t even know it yet. Ms. E came to me shortly after she found out she was pregnant and asked if she could do a boudoir session because she wanted to capture how she looked before her baby was born.

I immediately asked her if she would be willing to pose for me when she was closer to her due date, and I was thrilled when she agreed! For a long time, I didn’t get maternity photography. Why would anyone want that? Then I realized, in part thanks to my AMAZING boudoir clients, that every single woman is beautiful. Pregnant women truly do radiate a special light though. They are just stunning.

Ms. E called me when she reached the 30 week mark and we set up a session time. It worked out that the only day that we were both free was right after the open house this weekend, so we pulled out all the stops on Sunday and did our shoot.

We had such a great time. I joked that in the future, I need to set up a “Bootie to Belly to Baby” package, photographing boudoir through maternity and then the newborn session too. Oh, who am I kidding – it wasn’t a joke. I’ve already got dibs on her newborn photos! I can’t wait for the baby to arrive in a few weeks! (You’ll have to watch for her over on the regular blog.)
