April showers may bring May flowers, but they can throw a wrench in your plans when you’re expecting a sunny day for a session and instead get a big downpour of rain! When we left our houses to meet up in the Heights, it was sunny. By the time we approached downtown, it was pouring down rain — but Melissa and Brandon were such great sports! We made the most of it and we had a ton of fun too! Well, for most of the session we had fun, but I’ll explain that later in this post…
Elaine & I have always wanted to shoot by the skeleton wall, so it was the perfect chance since the rain had finally let up! The blue made a gorgeous background as well.
We had to get a shot by the Tropical Paradise sign because Melissa & Brandon’s wedding is in Belize this summer! We’re so excited about going to Belize with them- it is going to be so fabulous!
After this shot, they changed clothes. Brandon switched into some sandals, and the really wonderful hat — I love props! We went on to shoot in the grass with trees. Only one problem … there was a bee in the grass! And he stung Brandon in the toe after about the 4th frame! Eep! I kept checking with him to make sure that he wanted to continue shooting, but he stuck with it and we went on! Melissa reassured me the next day that he was ok!
Thank you again Melissa & Brandon for such a fun session and for talking afterwards about all our travel plans! Elaine & I can’t wait for your wedding in July in Belize!

Great shoot! We haven’t shot at The Heights before, there are lots of nice places around there!! You should go cave tubing when you are in Belize. We had a blast last time 🙂
