On November 11th, the morning after the two weddings in one day, I met up at Hermann Park in Houston, Texas to photograph Andi & Jason. They were in town from Nashville, Tennessee, working on their wedding plans. I had not met them in person before and it was so much fun getting a chance to know them! Their wedding is coming up here in March, and I can’t wait!
They were such troopers, as I know in hindsight that I was probably quite loopy thanks to the anemia issue – at the time I had no idea. They were willing to try my crazy ideas, and I love so many photos from our time together! I can’t wait to see Andi again in a few weeks for her bridal portraits, and then to see them both for their big day!
One of the first shots of the morning.
I just love it when we are able to find great light! Those are the things I look for normally – great light and lots of textures. Hermann Park in the morning is full of both! I just love being able to capture great light like this.
On the hill at Miller Outdoor Theater.
I knew the seats of Miller Outdoor Theater would give us a pretty cool texture for this shot – I could see it in my mind. I’m sure Jason & Andi thought I was a bit odd suggesting they sit in empty seats with no performance going on, but I love how it came out!
I post a lot of photos to Flickr, and this was actually one of my most popular shots of 2007! (Using their special secret magic rating formulas.)
Leaning in for a kiss.
We even were visited by a squirrel while we were walking through the park!
What luck for the two ducks to float past under the bridge at the perfect time.
As a side note, I should mention that while I’m still behind in blogging things, the proofs for all the sessions and weddings I’m posting right now have actually been online and available to clients for awhile. I just have this thing about posting them all in the order that they were taken, so some of them have been waiting on my hard drive patiently to be posted here!
