Kasey & Robert are such a sweet couple! Their wedding ceremony was at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, with their reception afterwards at River Oaks Garden Club. It was a beautiful January day – but it was cold! Brr!

I was the second photographer for this wedding with my friend Kelly. These are some of my favorite photographs that I took throughout the day. (You can view the ceremony photos here. Reception photos soon!)

We started the day off at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in the Museum District of Houston. I spent time with the ladies, photographing the details, until Robert & his groomsmen arrived. Kasey & Robert opted to see each other before the ceremony, giving us tons of time (and daylight!) for group photos after they got to spend some intimate time alone together. It was so sweet & emotional.

Their entire wedding party was just as warm and fun as the two of them! It was such a blistery cold January day that after a few rounds of group photos, Kelly & the women went inside to take more in the sanctuary, and I took more with the guys outside. They asked if they could jump, and I was all for it! One word: HYSTERICAL! I didn’t think I was going to be able to get them to stop jumping!

The women were wisely warming up indoors, while Kelly took group portraits of them. I caught this one as they were wrapping up; the posing was done by Kelly.

Once we were all done with the portraits, we waited for the guests to arrive and the ceremony to begin. It was fun getting a chance to hang out with the guys – and especially fascinating to listen to them talk about how they selected engagement rings for their wives!

Part 2 of the wedding day, the ceremony, is online here. Part 3 of the wedding day, the reception, will be posted soon! Thank you again to Kasey & Robert for letting me be a part of your wedding day! And thank you to Kelly Niemann for letting me work with you!
