I actually did this. My (now wife) likes to be my “assistant” when I shoot; hold my tripod and such. A few friends were asking us for pictures of the 2 of us, so I said “Let’s go to Valley Forge park and take some pictures”. I put the ring in my camera bag. Once we were settled in the park, I had camera in hand, and asked her for the lens in the “wooden box”. She opened it, thinking it was a lens, and found the ring. What a fabulous idea. Unfortunately I don’t think you have a lens long enough to reach where I am (Western Australia) which is a shame as your photos are gorgeous. Good luck with it!
