I met up with Kelly & Ian at Sambuca, the location of their first date to start off their engagement session. We decided to walk around downtown and take photos wherever the mood struck — I had a few locations in mind right in the area, like my favorite old parking lot and brick wall, and of course the Majestic Metro, where they are getting married today!

I loved Kelly’s dress. I loved it so much, I even tried it on at a store a few weeks later — as I put it on, I realized it was her dress! (I ended up picking out a different one – but how I love that dress!)
They were such troopers with the heat that day – a heat wave had come through, and the thermometer in my car said 97 degrees when I parked. It was HOT. Hot, hot, hot. But they were awesome through it all!
We tried to think happy, cool air-conditioned thoughts.
We ended the night, after dinner at Frank’s Pizza, right back where we started at Sambuca.
Thanks again Kelly & Ian for the awesome engagement session! I am really looking forward to your wedding today at the Majestic Metro – one of my favorite spots in downtown Houston!
