Good News | Bad News

Hi Everyone! Good news! My hosting company has finally figured out what the problem was that was causing me to not be able to send emails for over a day or two. (I hope it is fixed, because no email sending really stresses me out.) I was able to receive email, just not send.
The bad news? I now have 2+ days worth of email to respond to. Eep. So if you’re waiting for an email from me and you haven’t heard anything, I promise - I’m going through them as fast as I can!
If you don’t hear from me by Saturday, please resend your message. We think no emails were lost, but just in case. Thanks so much!
Wholly Matrimony!

I haven’t been over here the past few days because I’ve been over there. Where? Wholly Matrimony!
Wholly Matrimony was started in 1998 by Robyn. As her life changed, the site lived a quiet existence. Her two sons, who are less than two years apart in age, took up all of her free time when she wasn’t busy taking fabulous baby photographs.
Meanwhile, my life changed too. I because immersed in the wedding industry. And I longed for the good old days, when WM! was alive and flourishing. (You know, when I wasn’t busy taking wedding photographs myself.)
Then, with a flash of brilliance, while I was visiting Florida in June, 2008 - I wrote to Robyn and asked her if I could take over WM! - and she said yes!
So now the static HTML site is moving over to a blog, with all of the content moving into place on the site. There is still a lot of work to do behind the scenes, but meantime - the blog itself is under way! Check it out!

Cleaning House

Revising things behind the scenes, and there have now been updates to the About and the Frequently Asked Questions pages, and the addition of an Investment and a Behind the Price page. Hopefully all of these will provide you with a wealth of information and help you decide if I am the best fit for your wedding photography needs.

Kate & John - Getting Married! Engagement Session - Houston, Texas

Kate & John are getting married today!
We got together for their engagement session back in April, the weekend after Kate rode in the MS 150. I think it was so fabulous that she made the ride - it is on my list of things to do someday! When I first met with Kate & John, Kate told me how important it was that they include Bear Dog in their engagement session. Once I saw how cute he was, I completely understood!
Of course, just like all dogs at photo shoots, Bear was not willing to pose at all at first. I always advise to bring a handler for the dog and to bring two or three of their absolutely most favorite snacks. You know, the ones they always go for. What happens every time? They want nothing to do with those snacks. I can’t get them to look at me at all. So we decided to take Bear for a walk, wear him out a little bit. The original plan was to include him in a few shots and then take him to their friend’s house while we wrapped up the session. Instead, we walked Bear, walked around the nearby neighborhood, and used the yards that we found there as the backdrop for our shots. It was wonderful!
I’m looking forward to their wedding later today - I just know it is going to be beautiful!
