I’ve got a line of photos waiting to be posted here, but before I do any of that I want to make sure that everyone who was so kind & patient while I dealt with emergency surgery last month has everything that they need before Christmas arrives. So if you’re looking for a slideshow or photos from sessions - I promise, they will be blogged soon. Sharing them here is one of my favorite things to do!
Coming soon to the blog:
- Lauren & Dante’s wedding slideshow & photos
- Andi & Jason’s engagement session
- Mauro & Mariely’s engagement session
- Mauro & Mariely’s wedding slideshow & photos
- Brandi & Donald’s engagement session
- Liz & Dave’s engagement session.
I’m wrapping up proofs for the last three on the list (the first of Mauro & Mariely’s photos went online tonight!), and then it will be a blogapalooza fest over here! Stay tuned!

I’ve been trying to make sure that I am listed in all of the wedding vendor sites in the Houston area, and today I added one more - WeddingWire! It is a pretty nice site where you can search for a variety of vendors, from venues to cakes, to wedding photography! You can also check out reviews of the vendors there. If you have worked with me in the past, please feel free to review Christine Tremoulet Photography at WeddingWire and let others know what you thought!

Don’t you just hate it when you pop online to do something really fast - and then you get distracted by something else, and before you know it you end up somewhere entirely different?
I went to read up on the latest over at the Houstonist. From there, I went to add an art market to my MySpace friends. Only to realize I’ve never really set up my MySpace account. Doh! So I at least have it under way finally, although it is a work in progress. I have started adding friends though, so if you know me - or want to follow me over there - add me! www.myspace.com/christinetremoulet.
Now back to editing photos - new ones coming here soon!
Trash the Dress - Texas Style!

While I am a member of the Texas Photo Forums, I didn’t get to participate in this: Trash the Dress shoot-out in Downtown Houston. I’m still in recovery mode and not allowed to run around town taking photos this extreme - yet! Just give me a week or two. Check out more details on the megashoot that they did last weekend at Urban Trash the Dress. Some of the crazy cool photos can be found at the One Talent Source forums too.
I love the idea of a “Fearless Bridal” session. I don’t want to trash dresses - that just sounds so negative. I just want to shoot without fear of getting it dirty! I’m hoping that there are other brides out there that love the idea as much as I do.
I love it so much, I want to extend the offer that the first THREE people that contact me, with a dress that fits in hand, willing to do a session like this get the session FOR FREE! If your groom is willing to come in slacks, a shirt and a nice tie, even better!
FREE FEARLESS BRIDAL SESSION! Come and get it!
Details: 1-2 hour session, valued at $300, for free. 3 8×10 prints of your choice also included. Oh, and I’m not responsible for permanent damage to the dress, including tears, sequins or beading falling off or embroidery being snagged. I don’t plan anything that should cause these things to happen, but they could. You’ve been warned. Mainly, we’ll get the dress dirty, and the cleaners should be able to easily fix it. Should being a very key word here. High-resolution image files included for free also *if* you have booked me for your wedding day.
So? Who is game? Anyone want to go out and play? Who wants to be a fearless bride?
Do You Believe in Miracles?

Jenn sent me a link the other day that I finally got to read today about Kyle David Miller, a 3 year old who was riding in a booster seat in a car and the seatbelt failed during a major crash. He was thrown from the car and died due to the crash. I strongly encourage every parent with a toddler to consider a safe 5 point harness car seat - full car seat, rated for a child up to 80 pounds - over a booster seat after what I read today.
Minutes after I read that site, I visited Mercedes Xanga site to leave her a comment to let her know the slideshow was online. When I went to leave my comment, I saw other comments about her accident. Accident? I had a strange sinking feeling and called her right away. I got her voicemail and left her a message that probably sounded a bit odd, but I was very concerned.
Tonight, her friend Becky sent me the link to Mercedes’ mom’s blog post with the photos of her car after the accident. It is truly, truly a miracle that she is alive. More than that, alive and without major injuries or broken bones. Just looking at those car photos made me cry. I mean … whoa. It really is a miracle.
I said earlier that Mercedes & Tim impressed me with their strong faith. I believe it will carry them through this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts & prayers! No matter what your faith is, I know all the positive, healing thoughts we can send her way will help her!
Mercedes & Tim!

Mercedes & Tim had such a beautiful, wonderful and very moving wedding on November 10th. They both have such a deep faith, and it was so evident in the ceremony - it was really moving! The minister shared so many great stories about the two of them, their relationship, how they came together. I knew from my questionnaire that Mercedes had completed beforehand that Tim actually proposed to her at the altar of the church, and he played the song “If I Have Not Love” by Matt Redman — which was also played at the ceremony and we used it in the slideshow too!
It was truly just a lovely day, and Elaine & I both wish them nothing but the best in the future that lies ahead!
The ceremony was at the West Oaks Fellowship, followed by a fantastic reception at Vargo’s. The DJ was Complete Music, and I need to find out from Mercedes the name of the cake maker and florist. Her jewelry was from James Avery.
There are SO many great photos! Below are some of our favorites. The slideshow is at the end of the post.
Elaine was with Tim and the groomsmen, and caught this wonderful moment of Tim having his boutonniere pinned on to his tuxedo.
As a photographer, sometimes you take a photo and as click the shutter you realize it is THE shot you wanted. Before you ever see it. It is … just right. This was one of those shots for me. It was exactly what I wanted, and it makes me happy every time I look at it. I love how you can feel when you look at it that all the focus is on Mercedes, and it is about making her as stunning as possible for her wedding day.
While I was with Mercedes and the bridesmaids, we could her Mercedes dad singing in the church. Elaine was with Tim and the groomsmen, and she captured these great shots of him performing.
I just love how happy she looks in t he mirror as her mother puts on her veil. I had checked to make sure she was somewhat in the mirror when I started shooting, but the rest of it was just a happy discovery when I went to look at the photos afterwards, after firing away while they put they veil in place. I love the surprises like that!
Tim, seeing Mercedes for the first time as she walks down the aisle.
Mercedes, smiling as she looks back at him. I think they both kept their eyes locked on one another the whole time!
Taken by Elaine during the ceremony. A great perk of having two photographers at our weddings is the ability to get different angles at the same time. I love how focused they are on one another, and you can see it in both of their faces.
Another photo by Elaine, and one that demonstrates what I often say - our styles really do create a cohesive whole. I thought this was my photo until I looked to see which camera took the photo (we both shoot Canon, but different models) and I saw that it was hers, not mine.
Please enjoy the slideshow of photos from their big day! The slideshow by itself can be found here.
All of the photos can be found online by going to the Client’s section, registering for the site, and using the access code of the couple’s last name to view them. If you have any questions, or you would like to view the wedding as a perspective client, please let me know!
On a side note, can I just say that on a personal level, I’m really glad that November is behind me? I’m feeling better every day, and will be really glad when I’m out of this recovery phase. I do find that I’m a bit drained when I go out and do stuff, but that is to be expected I guess since I’m only 2 weeks post-op. I sort of keep forgetting that, and it surprises me when I can’t do things! But the one thing I can do now, when I’m not sleeping (I have been doing a lot of that), is edit photos! So expect a lot more to be coming soon!
