From the Bride’s Perspective

I have a questionnaire that I send out to my couples before their engagement session so that we can find the perfect place and location for their photographs, but sometimes it is good to hear it from a client’s perspective. I was catching up over at Wedding Bee, and the post on Tips for a Great E-Session caught my eye - very helpful information there!
The key? Think of a location that is a favorite place for you. It really seems to shine through in your images!
Anita & Rick’s Wedding!

I just wanted to take a break from the workshop posts to share with everyone the slideshow from Anita & Rick’s wedding!
Anita & Rick were married on September 29, 2007 at Vargo’s. Originally, the wedding was going to be outdoors at the gazebo, but thanks to the Houston rain we ended up staying in the restaurant instead. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony, and so wonderful to see their family & friends come together to celebrate their marriage. And Cocoa was the most adorable ringbearer!
Anita’s dress was just the coolest thing - it had these beautiful ruffles and was a great cut for her. The cool part though was that after the ceremony, instead of a bustle, the bottom tiers just came off! Leaving her free to dance the night away!
Between the beautiful ceremony and the great speeches by Anita’s children, Monica & Anthony, it was a very moving day. (Ok, so I’m a sap and cry at every wedding, I think. I can’t help it.) Elaine & I had such a fabulous time celebrating their wedding - we wish them the very best!
I’ll post individual photos from their wedding soon!
Biltmore Bride

Mmmmm… we went to the Biltmore House on Tuesday for a photoshoot, and this was one of the last shots of the day that I took. Literally as we were on our way to the car; we just couldn’t resist that amazing light. I have tons more from the day, but this one just jumped out too much for me to not share it.
UPDATE: I won! I won! I entered this photo in the workshop contest — and I won the Grand Prize! An amazing, incredible White Glove First Edition book. They are just AMAZING albums, and I am so excited about my prize!
